To heal it is necessary to remove yourself from people and situations that cause you pain and confusion. Giving someone the benefit of the doubt does not resolve the situation. If someone is standing on your foot it hurts. If you tell the person to stop and they keep coming back to step on your foot in the name of friendship or professional courtesy- it still hurts or at least annoying. It’s a cycle of pain. You have the power to stop it. It’s time to let go.
