We All Have Days Like L’il Peanut

My sister-girlfriend’s dog , Li’l Peanut, was  a tad down recently needing more of my friend’s  attention than normal.  My girlfriend speculates that the dog  is  missing her guardian angel, my friend’s daughter, who was  off to  science camp.   The remedy of course is that Peanut needed  more attention.

L’il Peanut Had the Blues

We all have days like  L’il Peanut.  There are some simple things we can do: pray, read, pray again, call friends who are doing a little worse than we are, volunteer, watch mindless television, read a good book, take a walk but  it’s probably most important to  remember “This Too Shall Pass.”  Spring is officially here.

Bentley’s Pantry Raid

Even Gourmet Cooks Must Have Rest

Even Gourmet Cooks Must Have Rest

The Bentley is a luxury automobile created more than 90 years ago in England. Bentley the dog is owned by my friend Renee and her family.  He clearly likes the finer things in life and he wants his meals and his water prepared just so.  A gourmet for sure.  Recently Bentley went to the pantry to prepare himself a snack.    Renee said her daughter left the pantry door open. But we know better. Bentley  has exquisite manners.  He simply wasn’t able to finish his preparations before she got home.

The results of Bentley's trip to the pantry.

When one is in the midst of fundamental change it is easy to get discouraged. Even daily functions can be hard. Still keep the faith. That’s the answer.

All Right Already- Change

Sometimes change is gradual. We could, almost always until global warming really set in, count on the seasons to change. Snow in the winter. Sun and heat in the summer. But here we are in mid-January and yesterday I still had blooming, thriving snapdragons. It does appear the weather is getting a bit chilly just in time for the Presidential Inaugural. So perhaps without my order God has everything in hand.
