As we approach Thanksgiving it is a time to remember the many blessings we receive throughout the year. Time with family is always wonderful and we look forward to sharing memories and good food. We also start preparing for the Christmas season. Grace always stakes out the space under the Christmas tree as soon as it goes up, whether it’s decorated or not. Blessings and peace to you and yours this holiday season.

Grace is still Grace
It has now been more than a year since Grace, the overweight Tabby, came to live with me. Grace at one point was tramautized easily. She now is happy and very comfortable in her adopted surroundings.
It is said that cats provide good company. I would like to say that cats are good company for those who provide good company for them.
Grace is very vocal and can be very demanding at times. She also has some people preferences and makes those known as well. Of course, she loves CCL. The biggest thing is Grace is at peace with who she is and she genuinely loves and cares for those around her.
Another from Octobers past.
Welcome Fall. Fall really is my favorite season. It leads to Thanksgiving and Christmas – family, food and amazing wardrobe choices. I like October best in Washington DC where I live. The flowers are still in bloom and even my rose bushes are making a comeback . The weather is sunny and crispy with beautiful colors of trees emerging. I still run errands in my white yes white flats and wear sandals where it suits the occasion. It is a month of birthdays of my favorite people. Perfect time for festivals and butternut squash soup.
October is also Domestic Violence Awareness Month and Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Donate to these causes if you can.
From October past…fall is upon us once again.
There is something wonderful and inevitable about the fall season. It is the start of trees losing their leaves and revealing their true colors, cooler temperatures, fall fashion and for most of us, a return to school and more intense work – budgets, hiring decisions. It is also the start of many new and exciting things as we enter into the holiday season. Somehow for me, and it appears for Grace the cat, the fall brings a sense of peace and of purpose.
