How to Give A Cat A Pill – Or Not

Posted on

We are dealing with historic rates of bad air quality, even before that Grace was having a little problem with her allergies. The veterinarian said to give Grace a quarter tablet of Clareton Plain as needed. The other day as a precaution I gave Grace her tablet as she lay on her favorite places, the red blanket under the back window. Grace opened her mouth wide, I threw in the pill, she closed her mouth and swallowed. There you’re done I said to myself. Grace continued to relax and I went on about a household chore. Yesterday, while straightening the ruffled red blanket – I found the unswallowed pill. Maybe Grace should be a taster for a high level person. Good fake Grace – next time.

Humility Has Its Advantages

I love shopping on Amazon.  I buy books, cards and search for hard to find items, handy household items, and of course, products for Grace, the cat. Recently while listening to one of my favorite podcasts, “The James Altucher Show, ”  the guest mentioned the humility of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.  Bezos is the richest man in the world.   He is, by many accounts, a transformational leader with a vision that has helped his company to grow, succeed, and adapt to new trends.

Yes,  Bezos is a man who has faced challenges personally and professionally, but I chose to believe that the company he seeded has brought us all a little more ease and joy.  Thanks, Jeff.

Change. Change is something that we all face.  No matter how old, or what gender or race or what is in your pocketbook.  Change is ongoing and constant.  We don’t control Change but we can learn to manage and accept it.
