Jean Claude and Roxie have returned after a rather peaceful weekend at CCL’s house. Well, except for yesterday when Roxie apparently jumped from the second floor deck into CCL’s neighbor’s yard. Roxie hollered for help. Jean Claude hollered at CCL who, sound asleep, was unaware of what happened. Unfortunately I am wide awake sitting at my computer trying to do some work and JC and Roxie have been raising heck. A mad chase through the house has been going on for several minutes now; so fast it’s hard to determine who’s chasing who…maybe it’s the rain.

Scare-D Cat
My cousin’s husband doesn’t like cats. He and my cousin came to visit recently. Roxie and Jean Claude performed. Jean Claude jumped atop the living room chair where he was sitting and motioned for the blinds to be risen. Roxie stood guard at the door. Several times Roxie also rushed the chair where he sat. Did I say my cousin’s husband is an Air Force hero?? ( and a wonderful person) but Jean Claude and Roxie spooked him good. He said the scariest thing was when Roxie pushed the dining room chair aside so Jean Claude could hop up and take a seat.

Healthy and now Happy
Roxie & Jean-Claude went to the vet today. They are in perfect health except for one extra pound. Me thinks that’s due to Azeena’s feeding. JC especially knows how to get that perfect meow and beg like he’s never been fed in his life. He’s over 15 pounds now while Roxie is almost 8.
I told the Vet about Roxie’s adventurous tendencies and how she likes to sleep on top of the water heater. He warned me that she could get Carbon Monoxide poisoning so I just need to figure out some way to secure that door so that I can keep her out of there!
He also said the tooth she lost isn’t painful for her and she’s good!
Home Again
Well, there was drama moving the cats from Grandma’s to my house tonight. Due to an accident, I only have one cage for them and I guess that they were tired of traveling together. JC refused to get in the cage and he always gets in without a fuss. Roxie was her normal drama queen self. So I had to make two trips to bring them over. Then I left to go to dinner.
When I came home both cats were at the door waiting for me at the door. I’m not surprised that Jean-Claude was there, but Roxie isn’t usually a homebody. Then when I came upstairs, they immediately followed and JC wanted to go out on the deck. I opened the door and he’s still out there. Roxie did go out, but came back pretty soon to spend quality time with her mom. Per her normal self she immediately came back in, started walking on my back since I’m on the bed and them jumped off.
Let’s see what tonight brings.
Yes, the CCL is posting
Or the mom will come after her. Right now Roxie is asleep on the bed which means Jean-Claude is downstairs asleep. JC loves his women, but he hates being disturbed when he is asleep. He will generally stay downstairs or underneath the bed except when you are in a deep sleep. Somehow he can sense when you are in a deep sleep either from sickness or from just being tired.
