So here we are – 14 days (or 15 days depending on your time zone) into a new decade. Often we use the event of a new year to make change. At the start of 2020, many of us started work on our resolutions to do better, be better or at least seem better. Maybe we wanted to lose a few pounds or change jobs or adjust our attitudes. Those resolutions – promises to ourselves and to the world – are for some us already broken but we are just fine. God loves us, just as we are and we can begin again tomorrow. One Day At A Time, life gives us fresh options.

I love shopping on Amazon. I buy books, cards and search for hard to find items, handy household items, and of course, products for Grace, the cat. Recently while listening to one of my favorite podcasts, “The James Altucher Show, ” the guest mentioned the humility of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. Bezos is the richest man in the world. He is, by many accounts, a transformational leader with a vision that has helped his company to grow, succeed, and adapt to new trends.
Yes, Bezos is a man who has faced challenges personally and professionally, but I chose to believe that the company he seeded has brought us all a little more ease and joy. Thanks, Jeff.
It has now been more than a year since Grace, the overweight Tabby, came to live with me. Grace at one point was tramautized easily. She now is happy and very comfortable in her adopted surroundings.
It is said that cats provide good company. I would like to say that cats are good company for those who provide good company for them.
Grace is very vocal and can be very demanding at times. She also has some people preferences and makes those known as well. Of course, she loves CCL. The biggest thing is Grace is at peace with who she is and she genuinely loves and cares for those around her.
Grace, the lovely big Tabby got a taste of the outdoors today. I let her come out as I watered mums and swept debris from the giant pine tree in my back yard. She explored and then obediently went inside without being coaxed. She seems to have struck a balance in her life as she changes course. Many of you know Grace can be very demanding and vocal about her concerns. I watch her adapt to a new routine quietly marking her territory deciding how she wants to experience her new surroundings. Fall is a time of change. Colder weather sets in, the leaves on the trees change colors and our work schedules take on some intensity. The last quarter of the year. It can for some of us be a time of upheaval, often things take a different turn and we have to change course and change our expectations.
